Introduction

Once upon a time...

Isn't that how it always starts?

Since I'm just starting out on this blog, I thought I would start off with a little message explaining a little of who I am, what I'll be doing here, etc...

First things first... Books! I'm the sort of person who walks down the street to work, a book in hand, you know the cousin who sits in a corner during family holidays, not really there because his nose is stuck between the pages of a book. You know, the one who you have to drag out of a book shop.

I started out reading the Famous Five, Magic Faraway Tree, Hardy Boys, the Hobbit, The Three Musketeers, and so much else. Though I do have a very particular love for everything science fiction and fantasy, I'm also a huge fan of mystery, espionage, thriller, historical... in short anything and everything I can get my hands on that involves reading words off of a page.

My aim here is to share my love for the written word and give a shout out to some of what I'm reading. I'm not necessarily going to write about brand new books, at least to start with. I'll probably go back to some books I've read in the past, anything I think worth me mentioning whether it be because it is good or because it is bad!

This is all brand new for me and I know I'm going to be joining a group of bloggers who have been around for a while. So why come here? I hope to give a slightly wider selection of genres, not that I'm naysaying those who review only in a single genre. It's just that my tastes go all over the place.

I'm planning to review at least four books a month, but I'll also drop by with news of books that have just come out, films I've seen, television shows I've enjoyed.
